Bio

Ever the sports nut, I have been blessed with a job which allows to me to feed my love for sports as well as my creative juices. I recently completed my 11th academic year as the sports information director at Union College in Barbourville, Ky. Prior to coming to Union, I spent five years in the newspaper business as a sports reports/editor, spending time at both a weekly and a daily publication.

In addition to being a SID, I am working on my Masters with the intent of teaching sports management classes as an adjunct professor. If all goes well, I will graduate at some point in 2011.

The most important part of my life is my faith and my family. My bride, Genople, and I were married in 1997, and we've been blessed with two wonderful and extraordinary kids. Jayson, the oldest, is a sports nut like his old man, while Haylee is daddy's little girl and a lover of life. We are active members of Poplar Grove Baptist Church in Corbin, Ky., especially in the AWANA program.

As you can tell in this brief bio, life is pretty hectic, hence, the title of the blog: the Master Juggler. This blog details the life and times of a small-school SID trying to keep the pressures of life at an even keel. For a better description about why I started this blog, click here.
